Rachel Roe-Wu (Flute)

Canadian flautist and piccoloist Rachel Roe-Wu recently graduated from the University of Toronto with her Master of Music in Performance where she studied with Camille Watts. She is an active orchestral and opera musician in the Greater Toronto Area, having performed with the University of Toronto Symphony Orchestra, University of Toronto Opera, the Etobicoke Philharmonic Orchestra, the Guelph Symphony Orchestra, and serves as the principal piccolo player for Orchestra Toronto.
Rachel received her Honours Bachelor of Music in Orchestral Performance from Wilfrid Laurier University where she won multiple scholarship awards including the Wilfrid Laurier University Concerto Competition in 2019. Earlier that same year, she was one of three finalists in the prestigious Ken Murray Concerto Competition with the same concerto. In 2018 she won the Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony Youth Orchestra Concerto Competition and performed Georges Hüe’s Fantaisie for Flute with the youth orchestra.

She has a passion for teaching flute to childern and adults, and is keen to share her love of flute with students of all levels.
