Deniz Tafaghodi (Piano)

Deniz Tafaghodi is a pianist, and sound artist, and founder of Zerone Duo. She began her musical journey at the age of four with Orff music and later specialized in classical piano at age six. Deniz earned her music degree in Piano Performance from the Art & Architecture University of Tehran. She has been teaching piano and music theory and since 2016.

Deniz has been an active collaborator in various artistic mediums, including live electro-acoustic/audiovisual performances, sound installations, sound design and music composition for theater, contemporary dance, and computer games. Her performances have reached audiences in Berlin, Toronto, and Tehran. Her projects have been featured at internationally respected events, including CTM Festival in Berlin, Seattle Symphony Orchestra, and Behaviours Concert Series in Toronto.

With a wide range of musical interests and abilities, Deniz creates an engaging, classroom experience for students from young kids to teenage and young adult students with structure to learn musical and technical technical skills efficiently, while providing to flexibility to follow their musical interest on the keyboard.
